World Center For Birds of Prey

A few weeks ago we went to World Center for Birds of Prey in Boise and the weather was perfect.  The views are amazing, and we needed this time away together.  I signed us up for a homeschool class and it was fun.  The girls asked questions, answered questions, and volunteered to be in a skit.  That is huge for Peanut, that is completely out of her comfort zone.  After many verbal praises and hugs, we made a quick stop at Dutch Bros for a drink to celebrate a great day out together.

You see homeschooling means we are together much more than what the average parent to child time ratio is.  I love it, but we can get grumpy.  And lets just say, being 11, and a girl, Peanut definitley has had some hard times lately.  Its a rough age to be. And we talked the other day on what its like to be around grumpiness, mood swings all day every day and how as her Mom, her sister and her brother can't walk on egg shells.  If she wasn't happy being home, we can find a better solution.  She loves being home.  She just needed someone loving on her to say, I get it, take care of you, but don't come out of your room and ruin our day if you can help it.  Its been a 1000% attitude change and brought us even closer.  Another reason why homeschooling is more than math and bible lessons.  Its relationship.

So I want to remember this day as a great day, great attitudes, fresh air, great weather, and engaging.
